Closing Time

It’s always sad to close down the garden for the year but truth be told, I enjoy the work of cleaning it up and getting it ready for the Spring. It gives me a chance to look it over and think about what adjustments need to be made. This year Kurt got into the act and we finally got to chopping down those miserable Buckthorn bushes. I really don’t know how I managed to let them get away from me. What a project! We have most of the front ones cut down but there are still a few along the side of the house. In the wake of that massacre is now a barren land! I will have all winter to think about what to do to clean up the area. There are several hostas that will probably need moving since they’ll get way too much sun now.
